A dated log of what we opened and re-checked
No evergreen promises: entries below exist because somebody here opened a page, clicked a route or measured something on the day written. Newest first.
Observation log, newest first
October 21, 2026
Site assembled and every shelf route on the Spreadsheet page opened and confirmed live. The official weidian.com homepage was re-read the same day: still a merchant software pitch in Chinese, still no buyer search on desktop, still claiming ninety million shops, with the operator name and both filing numbers unchanged in the footer. One small mechanical note from the same pass: the bare domain answers with a redirect to the www host, so links copied from different places can differ in prefix while opening the same page. The four agent registration links on the agents page were each opened and answered. While sampling shelf images we also caught two strays, a boxed accessories set filed under eyewear and a sneaker filed under watches; both stay on display in the shelf notes as worked examples instead of being cropped out.
October 2026, earlier in the month
Catalog spot checks matched card links to Weidian item pages through the itemID digits one for one across every sample we pulled, and changing a final digit opened a different shop's listing, which is why the platform page tells you to copy links rather than retype them.
Standing notes
Agent storage days, photo baselines and fee lines quoted on this site were read from the desks' own published pages in October 2026 and carry that date wherever they appear. When a desk revises a schedule, the revision gets an entry here before the page text changes.
Product images on the shelves are copies made for this site, cropped and recompressed here, with alt text written from what each picture actually shows rather than from the seller's title. Shelf samples rotate when categories go stale; rotations get logged, removals get a reason.
What the community is posting
The public layer of this hobby lives on Reddit threads, Discord servers and YouTube. A search for Weidian tutorials on YouTube, run October 21, 2026, returned registration walkthroughs, interface language guides and full shopping tutorials, every one of them from independent creators; we found no official buyer-facing channel from the platform itself. That gap is worth knowing: the videos teaching this hobby are community work, dated by their upload, and they age exactly as fast as the interfaces they record.
We read those threads and videos the way the trust page suggests reading dispute threads: skip the angriest and the happiest, and weight writers who show receipts. When a community report changes something we publish, the log above records it with the date we verified it ourselves.
How entries earn their place
Corrections follow the same rule in reverse. Spot something stale, write to [email protected], and the fix arrives as a dated entry plus the page edit, in that order, so the trail of what changed stays public.
Retirement works the same way as correction. A shelf route that dies gets a dated entry naming the replacement; an agent whose published schedule stops matching its behaviour in ways we can verify gets its card annotated before it gets removed; a guide step that an interface update makes wrong gets rewritten with the old wording quoted in the entry. The log is deliberately boring, and that is the point: a page of small dated facts is the cheapest proof a catalog can offer that somebody still works here.
