Six dimensions for judging the desk that buys for you
A shopping agent is a buying desk in China acting on your instructions. Choosing one is the biggest single decision in this hobby, so this page compares rather than crowns.
Compare agents with one identical hypothetical basket
Use the same item links, options, quantity, destination and estimated packed dimensions for every comparison. Otherwise a lower quote may describe a different parcel rather than a cheaper service.
| Decision | Comparable evidence |
|---|---|
| Can this order be placed? | Link parsing or manual-order support for the specific listing. |
| Can this parcel be sent? | A route accepting every item for the destination and plausible packed size. |
| What will I pay and inspect? | Goods, domestic delivery, mandatory charges, QC scope, freight and payment conversion. |
If a cost is unknown, keep it visible instead of scoring that agent as free. Use the cost components and QC checklist with the policies of the agent you select. Direct purchase may suit some buyers and shops; this guide covers the agent-assisted path.
The buying desk's half of the bargain
What an agent gets you is three services an overseas buyer may need: a mainland delivery address, a way to pay Chinese shops in CNY, and staff who read the language. You submit a listing link; their buyer places the order and chats with the shop when specs are unclear; their warehouse receives the parcel, photographs it to your account, stores it while your box fills, and finally freights the consolidated parcel to your country.
An agent can help when the seller’s payment or delivery options do not suit you, or when you want warehouse inspection and consolidation. Check the shop’s own options before deciding whether you need that service. What stays your job is everything judgement-shaped: picking items, approving photos and choosing the freight line.
Six dimensions, one worked checklist
Fees first, always: a headline of zero service fee can coexist with margins elsewhere, so read the whole published schedule, including per-parcel charges and what the checkout rate does against a reference rate on the day you pay. Service means photo depth and how disputes actually end. Speed is warehouse intake to shipped, which users report and marketing never does. Safety is payment rails and a refund path in writing. Trust is a nameable company with visible years behind it. Routes is whether lines to your country exist and what they refuse.
Before committing to any desk, run the checklist once: fee schedule located and bookmarked, storage clock and its start event understood, photo policy read, refusal list for your goods checked, and the company name searched together with the word dispute. Twenty minutes, once, beats discovering any of it mid-order. The risk page carries the warning-light version of the same list.
Two comparison habits keep the exercise honest. Compare landed totals on a concrete imaginary order, your actual next box, rather than abstract rates, because fee structures only resolve against real weights and real routes. And compare policies as written, not as paraphrased in forum threads; desks revise schedules, threads do not, which is why every number this site quotes carries the month we read it.
Four desks, matched to scenarios
These are the four agents we cover, the desks whose pages we keep re-reading, with one published fact each as read in October 2026. LoongBuy is this site's partner desk; the matching below still refuses to rank, because dimensions do not sum. A desk that leads on storage days can trail on photo depth, and the desk with the friendliest link handling can publish the sternest refusal list, so the only ranking that means anything is the one your own next box produces.
LoongBuy
Publishes a four-stop flow on its homepage: submit the order, QC and storage with each arriving item checked and photographed, then international shipping and delivery. If per-item intake photography is the service you care most about, this is the published promise to hold them to.

Runs a no-agent-fee model: its published price is item plus domestic post plus freight, with a customs declaration charge it states as generally CN¥8 per parcel. Storage for normal parcels is listed at 100 days. Weidian links go through its manual fill-and-buy form rather than automatic parsing.
Set up KakobuySuperbuy
A veteran desk whose help pages list Weidian among automatically parsed platforms, so pasted links resolve into orders without manual forms. Its published photo baseline is three standard photos per order within 24 hours of arrival, with storage listed at 90 days.

Publishes the mechanics others leave vague: a 3-to-6 fixed-angle photo standard with custom photo requests, 90 days of free storage with a further 30-day grace ladder, and per-line volumetric divisors of 8000 or 6000 printed next to its freight tables. Useful if you like rules you can quote back.

| Kakobuy | 100 days, normal parcels | appearance-only scope, stated openly | manual fill-and-buy form |
| Superbuy | 90 days | 3 standard photos within 24 h | listed as auto-parsed |
| iTaoBuy | 90 days plus 30-day grace | 3 to 6 fixed angles, custom requests | paste into the order form |
Disclosure: the four buttons above carry this site's referral codes and can pay us a commission. Your prices do not move because of them, and the facts in the table come from the desks' own pages, not from the payout schedule. If none of the scenarios fits you, a desk we do not list may fit better; the paper-trail checks work on any of them.
